Re: Burning glycerin in wood burner I would be very careful with this. The glycerol would boil at around degrees C although I guess we are not talking about pure glycerol. That could potentially cause you all kinds of headaches.
I'm not sure that kind of heater would be suited to it's use. If you are going to try it, maybe try it in an incinerator or some sort outside before trying it in your home. The "sawdust log" method on the JTF page is exactly what I'm doing at the moment, and it works OK but like Dagwill I sometimes get unburned gunk in the bottom of the fire, when the milk carton burns away and the glyc drops to the bottom without having time to burn properly. I thought a controlled feed would burn it better only once the fire is up to temperature with wood , and for a longer, more sustained burn.
I had a look in the Infopop forum "Other uses for Glycerin" section, but it doesn't look like anyone has tried it in the same way as I'm thinking. Anyway, I might give it a go but I want to try piping it into my woodburner without drilling a hole in the back in case it doesn't work!
